EVH: From the Trainer Perspective

Since 2004, Dr Danilo Gonzales has been employed at the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS). He received his Doctor of Medicine degree at FEU-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation and completed in general surgery in the Philippines in 2003. Dr Gonzales has been practicing EVH for more than 15 years and estimates that during this time he has completed well over 1,700 procedures. Dr Gonzales acknowledges the steep learning curve new harvesters often experience and says that receiving a good proctorship right from the beginning is critical for increasing the confidence level of these clinicians.
